Washington, D.C. – March 20, 2026

The U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), in partnership with LNG Allies and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, successfully hosted the launch of the U.S. Global Gas Initiative today at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce headquarters. The event, which concluded around midday, brought together energy leaders, government officials, and industry experts to discuss advancing American energy leadership through expanded LNG exports and global natural gas infrastructure partnerships.

A key highlight was the Fireside Chat on “Delivering Next-Generation LNG Initiative,” featuring Bobby Quintos, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Delta Offshore Energy, alongside Verinda Fike, Regional Director for the Indo-Pacific at USTDA. Quintos presented Delta Offshore Energy’s flagship 3,200 MW Bac Lieu LNG-to-Power project in Vietnam as a leading example of clean, secure energy development. The project—Vietnam’s first 100% privately financed integrated LNG-to-power initiative—has benefited from USTDA grant support, including feasibility studies for associated infrastructure.

Quintos emphasized the Bac Lieu project, which includes an integrated LNG terminal referred to as "The Trump Terminal," as a replicable model for fostering reliable, lower-carbon energy solutions across the Indo-Pacific region while strengthening U.S. strategic partnerships.

The event also featured a keynote address by Jarrod Agen, Executive Director of the National Energy Dominance Council, underscoring the Administration’s focus on energy dominance and international collaboration. Additional networking and panel discussions reinforced momentum for U.S. gas technologies in emerging markets.

Participants expressed optimism about the connections forged and the potential for accelerated progress toward a more secure and sustainable global energy future.
